    Our automatic bollards have an EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) seal integrated into the flange, so when the bollard is lowered, it fits perfectly into the floor flange. They are finished with LED light crowns, which ensure that they are visible day or night for maximum safety.

However, you are more likely to require planning permission for any sort of bollard, including automatic bollards, on commercial sites.     • How do automatic bollards work?

      Automatic bollards work by rising and lifting electronically, and usually via access control systems, to provide access to vehicles. When the barriers are raised upwards, they block entry and signal that the area is restricted. When lowered, they grant access – either to specific vehicles or at a certain time. 

    • Will an automatic bollard stop a car?

      Our automatic bollards are impact tested and high impact resistant to vehicles. This means that they will not break if a vehicle was to drive into them, and will ultimately stop the vehicle from entering the area or site. 

    • Will automatic bollards still work if damaged?

      If your automatic bollard is damaged, it is best to have a team out to inspect it. If the bollard is damaged, it may not slot into its retracted position, or the automated features may not work. The bollard should remain in the position it was damaged in, until it has been thoroughly inspected.
